What is a ketubah?

A ketubah is a Jewish marriage contract. Traditionally written in Aramaic, it records the couple's commitments to one another and is signed by witnesses before the wedding ceremony. Today most couples choose a ketubah that is also a work of art and display it in their home.

Which ketubah text should we choose?

We offer Reform, Conservative (with the Lieberman clause), Orthodox/traditional Aramaic, Interfaith, Same-Sex/LGBTQ+ and Secular/Humanist texts, plus custom text. The right choice usually depends on your officiant and the tone you want. Ask your rabbi or officiant first, then see our ketubah text options page.

We don't know our Hebrew names. Can you help?

Yes. Translation and Hebrew transliteration are free. Send us your names in English and we will write them in Hebrew. If you have Hebrew names from a naming ceremony or bar or bat mitzvah, we recommend confirming them with family or your rabbi.

Can my rabbi or officiant see the proof before printing?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. We email a digital proof within 24 hours of your order. Forward it to your rabbi or officiant, send us any corrections, and we print only after you approve.

What is the difference between framed and unframed?

Unframed ketubahs ship as a flat print, ready for you to frame. Framed ketubahs come in a Black, White, Silver or Gold frame and arrive ready to hang. Framing adds $13.75 to $22.55 depending on size.

What sizes are available?

Square designs come in 14x14, 16x16, 18x18, 20x20 and 24x24 inches. Vertical designs come in 9x12, 12x16, 16x20 and 18x24 inches. Papercut ketubahs range from 15x15 to 24x24 inches.

How much does a ketubah cost?

Our giclée prints start at $108.90 unframed, and framing adds $13.75 to $22.55. Papercut ketubahs range from $464.75 to $506. Personalization, translation, your digital proof and US shipping are always free. See ketubahs under $150.

What paper and inks do you use?

Every print is a museum-quality giclée on archival watercolor paper (340 gsm, 21 mil) with pigment inks. The paper is thick and textured, and it takes an archival pen well on signing day.

How long does it take to receive my ketubah?

Your digital proof arrives within 24 hours. After you approve it, printed ketubahs take about 5 business days to print and about 7 days to arrive in the USA. Papercut ketubahs are handmade in Jerusalem and take about 1 month. Need it sooner or overnight? Email us at quickprintsinbox@gmail.com before you order.

Do you offer rush orders?

Often, yes. Email us at quickprintsinbox@gmail.com with your wedding date before you order and we will do our best to meet it. We can't guarantee rush timing, but we always try.

How is my ketubah shipped?

We ship flat in rigid, thick cardboard packaging. Shipping is free anywhere in the USA.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the USA. If you live outside the United States, email us before ordering and we will let you know what is possible.

What pen should we use to sign the ketubah?

We recommend a Sakura Pigma Micron archival pen with black ink and a fine point. It is fade-resistant and works well on watercolor paper. Practice on scrap paper first.

Do you have interfaith ketubahs?

Yes. Our interfaith text celebrates two traditions with warmth and respect, and it can be paired with any of our designs. Browse interfaith ketubahs.

Do you offer ketubahs for same-sex couples?

Yes. Our Same-Sex/LGBTQ+ text uses inclusive, egalitarian language, and you can choose any design. Browse our LGBTQ+ ketubahs.

Can we write our own custom text?

Yes. Send us your custom text, in English, Hebrew or both, and we will lay it out beautifully on your chosen design. We will include it in your proof so you can review it before printing.

Can we make changes after we see the proof?

Yes. Send us your corrections and we will update the proof. Once you approve and we print, the order is final, so please check every name, date and spelling carefully.

What is your return policy?

Because every ketubah is personalized and made to order, we can't accept returns for a change of mind. If your ketubah arrives damaged or with an error on our side, contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we will replace it free. See Shipping & Returns.
